  1. This document contains the licence details for BRIDGE CREW
  2. version sw1.12e.

  6. This licence applies to BRIDGE CREW version sw1.12e and all
  7. associated files, documentation and related material distributed
  8. by Mithril Software.
  9.  
  10. This software is is protected by copyright law and by
  11. international copyright treaty.

  13. You assume responsibility for the selection of the programs
  14. to achieve your intended results, and for the installation, use
  15. and results obtained from the program. Mithril Software is not
  16. responsible for any damages caused by the use of this
  17. software.

  19. Mithril Software provides these programs and scenarios and
  20. licenses their use as follows:

  24. a.   Copy and distribute this version (sw1.12e) of BRIDGE
  25. CREW to whoever will take it.

  27. b.   Use this software for private use. This includes such
  28. use as may be made by a private gaming group.

  30. c.   Display this program at a seminar, conference, or
  31. convention publicly, provided you are not receiving reward
  32. for doing so. (i.e. you are not getting paid or charging for
  33. the privilege).

  35. d.   Use the supplied terminal emulators VT100.exe and
  36. BCTERM.EXE and associated programs and files on up to eight
  37. PCs provided they are connected to a machine running BRIDGE
  38. CREW version sw1.12e.

  40. e.   Change the medium on which it is distributed or
  41. distribute it electronically.

  44. You may not:

  46. a.   Charge EXCESSIVE copying fees for the copying of this
  47. software.
  48.  
  49. b.   Package the software in a way that infers to consumers
  50. that they are purchasing a registered version of the
  51. software.

  53. c.   Change the software or any associated files.
  54.  
  55. d.   Use or demonstrate this program at any convention,
  56. seminar,party, meeting or other public or private event if
  57. as a result of this demonstration you receive any kind of
  58. reward or payment without the permission of Mithril
  59. Software.

  61. e.   Accept or receive reward for the use of the software,
  62. without the permission of Mithril Software.

  64. f.   Use the software in a manner for which it is not
  65. intended.

  73. The licence is effective until terminated.  You may
  74. terminate it at any time by destroying the program,
  75. data and scenario files and all copies as well as any
  76. printed material.

  78. There is no time limit on this licence provided you keep
  79. within the terms and conditions listed above you may use
  80. this software for as long as you like.

  82. WARRANTY

  84. This version sw1.12e comes without any warranty at all.

  86. While the authors have taken all reasonable care in the
  87. production of the software, they do not accept
  88. responsibility for any loss caused directly or indirectly by
  89. use of this software.

  94. all.

  97. some limited support for this version on the INTERNET but makes

  102. REQUEST FROM THE AUTHORS

  104. If you use this version of BRIDGE CREW for an extended
  105. period of time then it would be polite to consider (and act
  106. upon) getting a registered version. The registered version
  107. is superior in many ways and comes with printed manuals. It
  108. is constantly being updated and has many features not found
  109. in sw1.12e. The current release 1.20 has extended options
  110. for live roleplaying like self destruct. Also some new
  111. combat options (eg. manual beam aiming). Also included with
  112. the registered version is a scenario designer to allow you to
  113. design your own ships, scenarios and universes
  114. (see NOTES.TXT for details).
